Explanation on the artworks

I chose these five old realistic oil paintings because, like me, these artists wanted to approach reality on the canvas. They too translated what they observed into their own handwriting. Observing was important to them (light/dark/reflections). That's what I do too. By adding my own paintings to the work of the artists, a story can arise.

Motivation of the artist
After the explanation about Remastered Art, I immediately started thinking about the concept, how I could approach it with my own style. The more my ideas grew, the better I could imagine that 'forgotten' work can regain value. So the door called motivation was wide open. All I had to do was go in. I started with two canvases and picked up three more. It's nice to search among the old canvases and imagine what I could add to them.
